Tommye McClure Scanlin, professor emerita, University of North Georgia, is a tapestry weaver and longtime art educator. Her work has been shown widely, and she maintains an active studio practice. Her teaching career spans all levels of students, from youngsters to retirees. In the past 45 years, in addition to university teaching, she has also taught tapestry in short classes and workshops, including at Arrowmont, John C.
