Trisha Leigh Shufelt is a self-taught artist, author, and sculptor from New England. She works in various mediums, such as acrylic, watercolor, ink, clay, and paper. Her studio is filled with strange dolls, old books, and odd trinkets collected on her journeys. She began designing Tarot and oracle decks after a battle with breast cancer in 2015. Her first deck, the HeARTful Spirits Tarot, was the winner of the International Tarot Foundation CARTA Judges Newcomer Award for Best New Author of a Tarot in 2019. It was also first runner-up winner of a CARTA Award for Best Author of a Tarot for 2019. In 2021, The Poe Tarot was released by REDFeather Mind, Body, Spirit and featured Edgar Allan Poe as the main character navigating the Fool’s journey, with quotes from his extensive body of work. She is also the author of several indie published novels and a book of short stories.
