Brad Elward has been a military aviation writer since 1997, writing 14 books and dozens of military aviation articles for internationally known publications. He has written extensively on the Navy Fighter Weapons School and, for this book, was allowed unprecedented access to the school and its graduates, which permitted him to interview over 450 graduates and former instructors and make several visits to the school. A retired appellate attorney, he currently serves as an adjunct professor at two well-known universities, teaching courses on communications and appellate practice. He and his wife, Linda, currently reside in Illinois with their three dogs.
