This one-of-a-kind collection of works was curated by the author, Carol Russell, for an exhibition at Hunterdon Art Museum in Clinton, New Jersey, in 2015. Included are essays by the curator, as well as by Archie Brennan, Christine Laffer, and Dr. Lycia Trouton.
Carol K. Russell is a curator, tapestry artist, and teacher of tapestry weavings and design.Most recently, she was honored to be selected as Juror for the 14th International Triennale of Tapestry at the Central Museum of Texiles in ???, Poland. Author of books on tapestry weaving and fiber art, she has also written essays for publications such as Surface Design Journal and exhibition catalogs. At Kilkenny Castle, Ireland, she presented American tapestry and fiber art at "You Say Fiber, I Say Fibre," an international conference looking at current directions in art textirles. In St. Petersburg, Russia, she presented "Perspectives on American Tapestry" at White Nights Symposium.
