Miriam Joy is a professional international artist, author, teacher, designer and inventor, published photographer, filmmaker, and motivational speaker. Having been raised on the Navajo reservation in Arizona, Miriam Joy was surrounded by highly skilled American-Indian artists. The people of the Navajo nation greatly inspired her artwork. While not being Navajo herself, she was given the gift of learning their artistic ways because her father taught at the reservation boarding school for over eighteen years. When not touring and teaching, she is at home in the Arizona mountains, where her inspiration comes from the big, blue skies with white bellowing clouds, the red rocks of the Arizona mesas, and the most amazing sunsets perhaps ever seen by human eyes.
