Lisa S. Roberts began her career as an architect and then became a product designer. She worked for more than 35 manufacturers, designing in the gift and home-furnishing markets and for museum stores. A collector of contemporary design, she wrote two books, Antiques of the Future and DesignPOP. Lisa has lectured extensively at museums, universities, and design venues and was featured on a TV series, My Design Life. Her third book, Mr. Waffles Loves Design, featured her cat interacting with her design collection. Lisa is a trustee at the Cooper Hewitt Smithsonian Design Museum and the Philadelphia Museum of Art, where she has run a design competition for the past 28 years.
