Don Elkins’ search for the secrets of the universe began when he was in high school. Years later, as a professor of physics at the University of Louisville, he realized that science did not have these ultimate answers, so he turned his search to the field of the paranormal. He regressed over 200 people to prove to himself that reincarnation was the way we progress spiritually. He investigated UFOs for twenty-five years before the Ra contact began and discovered that we are not alone in the universe. He found out that he could begin to discover these ultimate secrets through communications with extraterrestrial entities.
Carla Rueckert joined him in this journey of seeking in 1968, and they formed L/L Research to continue the process of refining their techniques for communicating with extraterrestrial intelligences. I joined them in December of 1980, and three weeks later the contact with the social memory complex of Ra began.
During a session when Don and Carla were teaching a student how to channel, Carla unexpectedly went into trance and left her body so that Ra could speak through it and describe the Law of One. Ra said that all beings are one. All things are one. That the One Infinite Creator made all of the creation and every being in it out of Itself so that It could come to know Itself better through every free will choice that is ever made in the infinite creation of intelligent beings.
Ra walked among the Egyptians 11,000 years ago to teach the Law of One, but the Egyptians worshipped them as gods and distorted Ra’s teachings. Ra removed themselves from that awkward position and began to look for a way to balance both of these distortions. That was one of the reasons that they contacted our group on January 15, 1980. The other reason is that planet Earth is at the end of the third-density experience, and our world’s current state of confusion and separation is seen by Ra as a calling for assistance which they can offer via sharing the Law of One. They said that each of us on Earth has the chance to graduate to the fourth density of love and understanding if we can open our hearts in unconditional love for all of our brothers and sisters of Earth.
As part of this process of spiritual evolution, Ra gave us information describing how our chakras function. Ra said that they allow more of the love and light of the One Creator to express itself in ever expanding forms of conscious awareness as we move our consciousness upward from the red through the violet-ray chakras.
Ra also revealed how our spiritual journeys of returning into unity with the One Infinite Creator move us through seven dimensions of light that correspond to our chakras. They said that each additional dimension contains more and more light that gives us a growing ability to express unity with all of the creation and with the One Infinite Creator. This unification with the One Creator is completed in the eighth density where we obtain the full consciousness of the One Creator which has been within us from the beginning of creation.
Over the forty years that we have been distributing the Law of One books at L/L Research, we have heard from many readers who say they feel like the Law of One is a letter from home. I think that this quote from Ra probably evokes that feeling more than any other:
“I am Ra. Consider, if you will, that the universe is infinite. This has yet to be proven or disproven, but we can assure you that there is no end to your selves, your understanding, what you would call your journey of seeking, or your perceptions of the creation.
That which is infinite cannot be many, for many-ness is a finite concept. To have infinity you must identify or define that infinity as unity; otherwise, the term does not have any referent or meaning. In an Infinite Creator, there is only unity. You have seen simple examples of unity. You have seen the prism which shows all colors stemming from the sunlight. This is a simplistic example of unity.
In truth, there is no right or wrong. There is no polarity, for all will be, as you would say, reconciled at some point in your dance through the mind/body/spirit complex which you amuse yourself by distorting in various ways at this time. This distortion is not in any case necessary. It is chosen by each of you as an alternative to understanding the complete unity of thought which binds all things.
You are not speaking of similar or somewhat like entities or things. You are every thing, every being, every emotion, every event, every situation. You are unity. You are infinity. You are love/light, light/love. You are. This is the Law of One.”
Don, Carla, and I considered being in contact with those of Ra to be the greatest blessing and honor that we could ever imagine, and the central work of each of our lives. We felt that it was a great privilege to be able to share this information with all of our brothers and sisters who also wish to use the open heart as a springboard into unity with the One Infinite Creator.
